Connection status alerts

Understand how connection checks work and how to respond to alerts

selfless.chat includes a feature dedicated to checking the connection status of integrated channels. This automatic check helps identify communication failures between the platform and the channel (such as WhatsApp, Instagram, or others), avoiding service disruptions and enabling proactive problem resolution.

This function is especially useful for the WhatsApp channel, where minor changes in the integration environment — such as updates in the Business Manager or token failures — can directly affect the performance of automated service and message broadcasts.

How status checking works

The platform performs real-time status checks to identify instability or outages in the connection with the integrated channel. When a problem is detected, the platform displays a visual notification with the severity level of the issue.

Status levels and impact

Identified issues are classified into three levels:

  • Level 1 – minor issue: indicates a small failure or instability that does not compromise the overall operation of the bot. Service continues normally, but there may be some limitations.
  • Level 2 – moderate issue: indicates an error that interrupts a specific platform function, such as the inability to send automated messages due to issues with payment method or account verification in Business Manager.
  • Level 3 – critical issue: indicates a severe failure that fully blocks the channel, making the bot unavailable for service or message delivery.

What to do when a connection alert appears

When the platform detects a connection issue, an alert will appear on the dashboard with the error level and the source of the problem. In the Channels panel, you’ll be able to see which part of the process is failing, along with a link icon that takes you directly to the area where the issue can be resolved.

For example: if the error is related to Business Manager, the alert will clearly indicate it and include a direct link to the BM dashboard where you can make the necessary corrections. This allows you to act quickly and resolve the issue without leaving the selfless.chat environment.
